This morning we woke up to find a magpie trying to crack one of our eggs (they must be some good eggs!)! We had to run into the garden and scare it off! Lets hope we don’t see him/her again!
I like baking so I decided to bake some muffins. I baked some breakfast muffins and some blueberry muffins. In both of them I used our eggs. I shared the blueberry muffins out with quite a few people. Every one who had one said it was extra lovely.
On the breakfast muffins I cracked a rather small egg and I got a double yolk!
When we picked our chickens up from Howard he told us how much chickens liked pumpkins. He gave us one for the chickens to try. They like it a lot. They couldn't stop eating it! Howard said it makes the yolks extra yellow.
We found some new treats for the chickens at Waterworld on the Wirral. We bought these while we were getting goldfish for my birthday. They are made of all natural ingredients such as nuts, corn and raisins. You get two sticks in a pack for £4.99.
At first our chickens were scared of it because they didn't know what it was. But then Stripy pecked it and then carried on. Stripy, if it's not at the right angle, puts a claw on it and rearranges it before putting her claw back on it and eating it. Our chickens really enjoyed it and it was worth the money.
They last about two days for our chickens.
You can buy them from Amazon as well.
